    2 things:

    1. Psa 25:11 – David knew his sin was great. Forgive my iniquity, though it is great, says David. But David knew his God’s forgiveness and provision was bigger than any of his sin. In 25:15 David writes: my EYES are EVER on the LORD for only HE will release my feet from the snare. And God knows how many snares trapped David. And God knows how many snares have caught my feet. Release me, o beautiful forgiving God! Release my feet tonight! 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me for I am lonely and afflicted. 25:17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied this very day; free me from my anguish.

    2. David’s last words: Be strong my son; show yourself a man. Do all that God requires. I always perk up when I hear it is someone’s last words for those are weighty words. These words ring true to me today even though the new covenant is not about behavior but it is all about grace. May our children be strong and not miss the grace of God on their lives. Jonah 2:8. May we all do what God wants, not what we want.
