In 2006. I decided to start an online community committed to reading through the Bible- chronologically! Having done it once before, I knew the value of learning the stories in context. I also knew I needed community to help me stay the course and read through it again!
Many people…male and female, all ages, from all backgrounds, and living in locations around the globe participated in the adventure. I know my experience was richer because of each of them.
So when I was asked to set up a site and read through the Bible again in 2008, I was thrilled to say yes!
So welcome to the journey…I hope you will come along with us! I suggest taking full part…do the daily readings, listen to the podcasts, meet your fellow journeymen and comment on what you are learning and questioning! All of us will have a fuller experience for your participation! Email me to add your profile, ok?
Happy journeys, friend!

Hello Kate,
This is an exciting adventure! I look forward to participating in this Bible reading and to the blessings God has in store. Such a crucial year for our world, yet I know God will be faithful. Thank you for undertaking this responsibility and I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in all our lives as we study the Living Word.
In Christ,
Cathy

What a privilege to listen to my beautiful God speaking through His love letters written chronologically to each of us. God’s Word is like a hammer that breaks the rocks to pieces. Jer. 23:29 His Word is like the melting snow that melts our hearts. Psalm 147:18 Can’t wait to listen, to hear, to be loved by His Voice.

Hi Kate-
I’m really looking forward to this…so much so that I’ve had a hard time waiting till tomorrow to begin! Thanks for your willingness to host this and I pray God’s blessing for you and your family in 2008.

Looking forward to the 08 Journey. I was have a strong desire to know God’s word much better than I do now. I also want to pass on this desire to our children so their lives take a different direction than mine did. I now know that God is love and am freed from guilt. Blessings to all.

I am looking forward to this journey. In the last few months I have come to realize how important it is to “hide God’s word in my heart” because what’s inside is what’s going to come out. I struggle with having my own quiet time so I’m excited that I have many others to be accountable to. Kate, thank you for taking on this responsibility. I pray that you and your family will be blessed beyond more than you could ever imagine.

I found one of my old Bibles riddled with notes and remembered how much I loved studying the Bible and how I’ve fallen away from that in recent years because of various and sundry reasons (twins!). I look forward to beginning again!

I’m so stinkin’ excited for this. I pray that I can stay consistent with my reading when school starts. I really think this is going to enhance my relationship with God tremendously. I know longer will have to guess about things but know because I read it in His word.

I’m so excited for this opportunity to communicate with others on a chronological read through of the Bible this year. In years past, I was always able to participate in a regular Bible study of some sort, but now I’m a stay at home mom of four girls- one almost 3 year old and triplets who are 16 months old. Needless to say, I don’t get out of the house by myself very often. It will be awesome for me to be in the Word with an online accountability group… so looking forward to it!

I am really excited to be going on this journey again. I know I’ve probably mentioned this in a post already, but thank you very much for doing this again. One of the best ways to obey and hear God is through his word and it’s great to be able to discuss it with others. I can’t wait to continue on this journey.

Thanks so much for setting this up! I am looking forward to getting started. This is just the motivation that I needed! I wanted to join a bible study at my church but have no childcare. This way I can be a part of a community too.

I stumbled across your blog while viewing a good friend of mine’s and it was an answer to a prayer! I’ve been wanting to have daily readings in His Word, but being in college makes it tough! Thank you so much for doing this and I can’t wait to see what God decides to whisper (or speak loudly) in my ear and heart as I read more about the Truth!

I didn’t realize you had it up again. When you had the original site up, I was following on there.

It’s wonderful you’ve put together this chronological reading plan! I too have put together one that I’m walking through with my Bible Study group and keeping myself accountable through bloggin my journey. Isn’t it wonderful we have this avenue to share His great Word! I look forward to “reading” where our roads meet, learning & discussing with fellow journeymen (and women)!
God Bless, HL
